Consensus System

The BSV blockchain uses a proof-of-work consensus system, in which miners compete to solve complex mathematical puzzles in order to validate transactions and add them to the blockchain. This system ensures that the blockchain remains secure and decentralised, with no single entity or group having control over it. The proof-of-work consensus algorithm also incentivises miners to contribute to the network by rewarding them with new bitcoins for their efforts. This helps to maintain a healthy and vibrant ecosystem for the BSV blockchain.
The BTC blockchain employs a proof-of-work consensus system, ensuring security and decentralization. Miners compete to validate transactions and are rewarded with new BTC. To tackle scalability limitations, the Lightning Network, a second-layer solution, was introduced to enable faster and more efficient transactions, preserving a robust ecosystem for the BTC blockchain.
